Help identifying magazine title from 1982.

Hi,

I’ve been taking a trip down memory lane and reminded myself that in the early 80’s I entered and won a competition in a new magazine. I’m trying to find out the name of the magazine in order the locate the issue with the competition and the following issue that announced I had won.

For a long time I was convinced it was Number One magazine. The competition I believe was called Mike Read’s Top Ten and the winner won the top ten singles with the No. 1 always being a picture disc.

So I stared to locate the issue by locating the week of the top ten I had won. This I found to be week of 23-29th May 1982. https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/ ... 0523/7501/.

Madness was no. 1 with Our House which I received on picture disc.

When I tried to locate the edition of Number One magazine I discovered it only started in 1983. This is where I need your help.

Can anyone locate a magazine that I believe was new from about May 1982 that had a competition in it like I have mentioned? Maybe my memory is distorted and perhaps it was not a music based magazine? Maybe it was not a new magazine? However this is what I recall. I am pretty certain the competition was called Mine Read’s Top Ten.

Any help, thoughts and suggestions will be gratefully received.

Thanks for the replies, I will double check Look-In, but the other's I've already managed to rule out.

It was, I believe, a short lived magazine. The hunt goes on.
