*Important* Please do not post anything that might be libellous.

Duplication
Do a quick search before posting to make sure you're not duplicating discussion elsewhere.

No Copyrighted Material
Information copyrighted or owned by any individual or entity other than the member should not be posted here without the consent of the owner. If such an event occurs, the individual posting the information shall be held solely responsible. The 80s Forum shall not be held responsible for member-posted information that may violate copyright law.

Be Ethical!
This forum: resources, articles and discussions are based on basic, appropriate professional ethical behaviour. Unethical behaviour: use of other administrator's member lists for PM invites, email invites, spamming, warez, license sharing, and other illegal activities are completely inappropriate and will result in the loss of membership at The 80s Forum.

No Ban Contesting
Though we like to have an open dialogue with our members, a ban will stay a ban. Please do not log on under a different account or send an e-mail to ask why you have been banned. If you are unable to realize why you were banned, your lack of understanding of the Rules is probably the reason itself. If you logon under a different account somehow after a banning, you will once again be banned.

Posting and PM's
New members' may be restricted in their Forum movements in the following ways-
1) All new members will be restricted in using the PM (personal message) system until they reach a minimum of 5 posts, they will then be free to send PM's in the normal way. If required, these restrictions will be increased to 10 or 20, based on individual member performances.
2) All new members will be restricted in posting external links until they reach 10 or more posts.
3) All new members will be restricted in having their website shown on their profile until they reach 15 or more posts.

The Administrator/ Moderators of The 80s Forum reserve the right to remove threads or posts without warning.

I know you're posting this a bit tongue in cheek, but if you witnessed the amount of spam posts we have to delete on daily basis in here, you would appreciate why this posting rule is in place, I'm not looking for people to join just to post link after link and not contributing to the forum, I want genuine members only.

Not sure I understand this statement,we are a UK based forum and welcome all user's from around the world, our language is obviously English. If I joined a forum in France, I would expect that the language would be in French.

You may upload attachments e.g. pictures, pdfs, etc as long as they do not violate any of our forum rules or violate copyright infringement laws. Fair use laws generally allow for limited use of copyrighted material for comment, criticism, news or educational purposes.

We have enabled the most popular computer attachments such as .jpg, .gif, .pdf, .doc, etc.

The maximum file size is limited to 1 MByte.
